Your application for a place at The Mendip Studio School must be made to the Local Authority in which you live. You will receive a letter from the Local Authority containing your child’s UID (Unique Identification number). The UID number can then be used to make an application on line. Alternatively you can submit a paper application which can be downloaded from the Local Authority’s website. You are able to apply up to 31 October 2016. If you live in Somerset you must apply to Somerset Local Authority even though Writhlington School is in Bath and North East Somerset. Both local authorities have full information on how to apply on their websites.
From 2017 admissions will be made directly to Dragonfly Education Trust.
Applications for places in Year 12 will be made as part of a shared Sixth Form between Writhlington School and The Mendip Studio School. Students in the new joint Sixth Form will be able to access an extensive range of subjects across both schools and will be offered a place at either Writhlington School or The Mendip Studio School, depending on their primary subject choices. Please contact Mr Bruce Hain, Headteacher, if you wish to discuss your application. Year 12 applications need to be made directly to the shared Sixth Form.
