GCSE Success for Mendip Students

Mendip Studio School celebrates its second year of GCSE successes.  33% of all students achieved ‘good’ passes (grades 9-5) in English and maths and 60% achieved ‘standard’ passes (grades 9-4).  A stunning 7% achieved the very highest grades in both these core subjects.

Students have achieved some outstanding results across all subjects: Jake, Martha and Fleur have a string of the very highest grades including grade 9 (only 3% achieve these grades Nationally); Zack, Amy, Ben and Ollie also have a collection of truly excellent results.

Students have shown great application and achievement across the whole range of subjects, with particularly strong progress made in English.

Headteacher, Bruce Hain, said:

“Our students have done brilliantly. Their attitudes and hard work throughout their time so far in Mendip Studio School, have been rewarded – we knew they would do well because of their approach to their studies and their exams – we are extremely proud of them and grateful to their teachers, parents and carers and to their Pastoral Leader, Miss Fear. We look forward to welcoming most students back for Year 12 in September and give best wishes and congratulations to all.”
