Mendip Studio School Sixth Form students are celebrating their successes in their A Level results. This is the third cohort of Sixth Formers to complete their A Levels with us and we congratulate them all on their hard work, resilience and well deserved success.
Many of our students have some truly outstanding results; Oliver Blacklidge attained a phenomenal A*BB and is off to the University of Bristol to study Mathematics and George Glover scored an outstanding AAB and will be studying Design Engineering at Bournemouth University. Sarah Moore will attend Harper Adams University and will be studying Zoology with Entomology. Iyesha Stacey, Ross Harding and Jamie Gould achieved the grades they worked hard for to go on to their chosen vocations and we wish them all the very best of luck in the future. Harvey Wynne is heading to Japan for a Gap Year to teach snowboarding and Neo Katz is spending his Gap Year in Banff in Canada to teach skiing. Alistair Milling leaves us to take up an Engineering Apprenticeship at Babock International in Bath.
Headteacher, Bruce Hain said:
“These students are the pioneers of our school – without them stepping into the unknown, at the start of their GCSE courses, we would not have been able to grow the school to what we see today and we are so grateful to each and every one of them for their courage, hard work and leadership. I would also like to thank all the staff for their conscientious and unwavering support and to our students’ parents and carers for their unfaltering support and communication through their sons and daughter’s time with us.”
Natasha Cantrell, Pastoral Leader of Mendip Studio School said:
“Our students have made us very proud. They have achieved amazing results and are going on to study at top universities and with fantastic companies as apprentices; furthering their STEM knowledge and skills – something that they have fully embraced at our school. They will be sorely missed but I am very happy that they now have strong foundations to embrace what lies ahead.”
